Layla Splawn
Commercial & Residential loss Specialist
Layla was born and raised in the Central Valley. She earned her bachelor’s degree from CSUMB in International Business and Management. After college, she moved to Sacramento and started her career in Property management. Shortly after, she was recruited to join the restoration industry and the rest is history. The best part of her job is being there for people in a time of need and helping customers see the light at the end of the tunnel. In her free time, she loves to explore and spend quality time with her dogs, friends, and family.
Camie
Selections coordinator
Camie has been in the construction industry for over 30 years. She has spent most of her time in the new home building industry, managing design centers.
She often say’s that she have the best job at Duarte Construction. She has the pleasure to work with each customer and rebuild their house to their exact specifications!
Outside of work is mostly spent with friends and family. She has two children in college out of state, so it’s always a pleasure to go visit them.
Greg Walker
Lead Estimator
Greg has been in construction for over 45 years and has been with Duarte for the past 28 years. Before Duarte, he built spec homes and performed many of the trades, later transitioned to the insurance side of construction. Greg enjoys working with customers rebuilding their homes. There is great satisfaction in helping someone navigate the repair process. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Jeff Thomas
Estimator
Jeff Thomas started at Duarte Construction 22 years ago in November of 2001. Jeff started out on the production side of the company as an assistant project manager. A couple of years later he moved into one of the project manager roles. Int this role Jeff worked directly with property owners and coordinated the day-to-day operations of multiple reconstruction projects. In 2008 Jeff moved from the production side of the company and became an estimator. As an estimator Jeff worked with property owners, insurance adjusters, and building consultants to evaluate damaged structures and create a scope of work and estimate for the repairs. “I have always been amazed at the amount of damage a fire can have on a property, and I really enjoy creating a way to save and repair damaged structures. I find satisfaction in bringing a building back better than it was before.”
Allan Fontanilla
Estimator
A dedicated Duarte Construction employee since 2007, Allan was brought on a as a carpenter to add to Duarte’s growing workforce. Soon after, duties lead to running AAA, State Farm and Contractor Connection projects becoming one of the project superintendents managing a crew of 5 -6 skilled workers. Ultimately, Allan transitioned to where he is today as a project estimator. A San Francisco native, Allan currently resides in Elk Grove with his wife and sons.
Ramon Ramos
Estimator
I love my job because it allows me to meet new people, and assist them in turning a tragedy into the home they may have only dreamed of living in. I enjoy spending time with my kids: hanging out, teaching them new things, and watching and helping them to improve the things they love doing, and to achieve their goals. I most enjoy time outdoors with friends and family: fishing, hiking, camping, snowboarding, off-roading, paddle-boarding, boxing and back-packing. I am a big fan of baseball and going to games.
